While VUK is not *quite* ready to open, we want to open our doors for a day and let you find any issues we may have from hibernation! It's the "kick the tires" tournament! While we strive to maintain (and beat) our image for having well maintained games, they have been sitting for a few months and we need your help to make sure we find the last of our game issues before we open for real.Tournament Details:
- Format will be group matchplay for 4 hours, followed by a top 8 PAPA style format.
- Timing: Doors will open at 12pm, registration will begin at approximately 12:30pm, Tournament will kick off at 1pm SHARP!
- Cost: $20 entry fee into the tournament. $19 will go to the prize pool, with other $1 going to IFPA. Games will be on quarter drop.
Food:
Sad news, we do not have a kitchen at our new location. Good news, there's a TON of food within a block (or two) from us. Accessible from the mall itself there is Cheesecake Factory, attached to our building (but outside) is Maggianos, on the same block is Booeymongers Sandwich shop, an Amazon Fresh grocery store with food counter, and many many many more options.
Parking/Transportation/Arrival: Chevy Chase Pavilion is built on top of a parking garage, accessible from both Wisconsin Ave. as well as Military Road. The garage charges $5 for the fist hour, $8 for 2 hours, and $14 for 2-12 hours. Neighborhood parking on 42nd and 43rd street is free. Driving down doesn't seem like your thing? The DC metro "friendship Heights" stop on the red line will take you straight inside of the mall, with our space being right at the top of the escalators.
