The Ampersand Review March Writing Series

Cassidy McFadzean will lead us in a two-hour poetry workshop titled Lists and Litanies. From anaphora and incantations to unconventional gratitude lists, grocery lists, bucket lists, and more, this workshop will uncover inventive methods of writing poetry using rhythm and anaphora, as well as personal memories and the material of daily life inspired by Joe Brainard's long poem "I Remember.” We’ll have time for 2-3 in-class exercises stemming from the readings, as well as additional prompts to take home.  Participants should bring a notebook and something to write with.
