Join us on Saturday, June 26 as we celebrate the completion of The AMP: AIDS Memorial Pathway.
We invite the public to drop by the plaza and the park during these hours to visit and experience this unique place of remembrance and reflection in Seattle. (NOTE: ASL Interpreters will be onsite throughout the day)
Visitors can:
• Meet the artists stationed near their artworks. You'll even have an opportunity to go through the community room of the Station House building (with mask).
• Download the AMP app developed by Novaby, and experience the AR (augmented reality) element.
• Participate by writing down your name, the name of a loved one, or your hopes for The AMP on a ribbon. This will be used to make an AMP panel for the AIDS Memorial Quilt.
• Get a button commemorating The AMP Dedication Day.
• View "what we make it", a temporary art installation around the gatehouse in Cal Anderson Park. Created by Clare Johnson, the series of colorful sketches are inspired by interviews with people who have experienced HIV/AIDS with their families.
