Here's everyone's full bios...
Cellist Cheryl O is a dedicated multi-media collaborator blending her improvisations with live theatre, dance, film, circus arts, text, poetry, painting and electronica, exploring the deep relationships between sound, space , energy and the human experience. She co-creates with CCMC, Casey Sokol, John Oswald and many others, as well as for Contact Dance, Hercinia Arts, and paints sonic expressions of the visual works of abstract artist Nora Camps. Cheryl continues to research and develop her coaching practice in performance anxieties and body memory trauma, combining aspects of free improvisation through a Polyvagal Theory lens to create new social and neural connections. She lives in a self-built tiny house, is obsessed with gardening and sustainable living, and has a daughter, Emma, a coloratura soprano singer.
Nanotopia is the experimental electronic music collaboration of Andrei Gravelle (they/them, CA/UKR) and Tosca Terán (she/her, MX/US). Working with analog modular synthesis and live signal processing, Nanotopia performs long-form, improvised sets guided by storytelling. Their music unfolds slowly through evolving textures, spatial movement, and feedback, favouring deep listening over fixed structure. Often staged at night in immersive sound configurations, their performances open expanded perceptions of time, attention, and listening as a shared, ecological practice.
Guitarist Jim Field, of the ambient metal duo Northumbria (Cryo Chamber Records) proudly returns to the PiNG after many years with a solo performance in the style of his recent Late Night Loops recordings that he has been posting to his Instagram and Facebook socials over the course of the last year. Although LNL is in a similar style to Northumbria, it explores the Post Rock and Atmospheric Drone sides of Jim's work and has a more intimate view of his music. A proper release of the recordings is planned and this is the first performance featuring this approach.
