The Amber Band are a five piece folk band from the village of Ambergate in Derbyshire.They perform Celtic folk songs as well as writing and recording their own original songs. As songwriters they have released four albums, an EP and a single all of which come within the Indie genre. The band now focus on live performances of Celtic music and their own original folk songs. They are currently working on their fifth album which will feature songs they have written about historical characters and events connected with Derbyshire.
The band write songs with a strong lyrical and melodic content that people will want to listen to again and again. Songs by The Amber Band feature regularly on numerous radio stations in the U.K., the U.S.A. and Australia. The band can also be heard on local radio stations including Derby Sound and Erewash Sound.
