THE AMAZING HUMAN INSIDE THE FEMALE BODY
About this Event
Join us at PR Labs/CoachJenaLee as we host Nicole Jefferson, LPC and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. Nicole is passionate about helping women feel more at home in their bodies- to feel strong, comfortable, and genuinely good in their own skin, through all the changes that come with being a woman.
This is a 2 hour seminar and it is donation based. Nicole desires all proceeds to go to The Gathering Project. Feel free to venmo PR labs on the day of the seminar or share your proof of donation on your own.
Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-based approach developed by Dr. Peter Levine that helps us become more aware of the connection between our bodies, emotions, and nervous systems. Rather than trying to think our way through everything, we slow down and get curious about what we notice in the body: sensations, tension, impulses, emotions, images, and even the places where we feel disconnected or stuck.
In this workshop
we’ll use some simple somatic practices and guided reflection to explore our relationships with our bodies, aging, movement, rest, and the expectations (societal and maybe personal) we carry about how we’re “supposed” to look or feel. We’ll get curious about the parts of ourselves that may have been pushed into the background, and what becomes possible when we listen to them instead of judging them, gently.
This isn’t about fixing your body or learning to love every inch of it. It’s an invitation to become a little more curious, compassionate, and at home in the body you have right now.
Who is this for?
For women who want to slow down, get curious about their bodies, and reconnect with the person living inside of them. Maybe you’ve noticed how easy it is to keep pushing, stay productive, compare yourself, judge your body, or ignore the signals that you’re tired, irritated, overwhelmed, need a snack, need to pee, need a rest, or simply need to stop and make yourself a cup of tea..
This is an invitation to step out of all of that for a little while, to move, notice, listen, and explore what your body might be telling you and how to build a deeper connection with her.
What you’ll take with you
You’ll leave with a few simple somatic practices you can use in everyday life, before a workout, when you feel disconnected from your body, or when you need to slow down and check in.
You’ll also get a short handout with the practices and reflections we explore, so you have something to come back to after the workshop.
A little housekeeping
This is an educational and experiential workshop, not therapy, and it’s not a replacement for individual mental health care. You’ll be invited to explore at your own pace, and you'll decide what feels right for you.
Once you sign up, we’ll send you a brief questionnaire about what you’re hoping to get from the workshop. It helps us make sure the experience is a good fit for you and gives us a little context before we meet.
If you’re looking for ongoing therapy or more individualized support, I’m happy to help connect you with resources. If you’re experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact 988 or seek emergency support through 911.
