Growing up, Sean Patrick was lucky enough to be part of something referred to as The NJ Scene: Local musicians and creatives connecting through shows that were being held in basements, VFWs, fire houses, and any hall that would allow a bunch of kids to raise enough money, rent the space and make music.
By playing and attending these shows, we grew as musicians, we made lifelong friendships, and we were exposed to so many influential bands that created the “pop punk/emo” genre being rediscovered today.
Scene Night will be a combination; celebrating the music that connected us while giving musicians a night to perform their music for a welcoming audience!
The Alibis will be closing the evening with a long set of covers from the bands that we discovered through the days of the NJ Scene like New Found Glory, Fall Out Boy, Saves The Day, The Get Up Kids, My Chemical Romance, etc.
We will be playing early tracks from these bands which should geek out the “Elder Emo/Scenesters” out there.
Hurt Feelings is Sean Patrick and his bff Matt Calchera’s project playing the original music that they released in February ‘24.
