## � What are PANS/PANDAS?
PANS (Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome) and PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections) are neuroimmune conditions that cause **sudden and severe psychiatric and neurological symptoms** in children and young adults. These disorders can lead to **crippling anxiety, OCD, motor tics, cognitive decline, and personality changes.** With early diagnosis and proper treatment, recovery is possible. **Your participation in this race helps fund critical research and medical training to improve care for those affected.**
