Join us for another edition of The Albany Sound, a monthly series spotlighting the region’s original artists. This month, three local performers take the stage, each sharing their unique style and stories.
Katherine Cleary | 5 PM
If everything was simple, Katherine Cleary wouldn’t be making music. Katherine writes and sings about life’s complexities amid the journeys she’s taken. Often she injects humor with blunt life lessons into her works, and she is unapologetically true to herself.
Music is more than just a song to Katherine, it’s her passion and way of life. When she’s not performing on stage, she’s behind a microphone hosting Soundcheck on Great Southern FM 100.9, a show that promotes local, regional, and independent music.
Terry MacK | 6 PM
Terry MacK hails from the South Coast of WA. His music, which he describes as Ballads, Blues and Boogie is inspired by a deep connection with this beautiful land and a lifelong passion for the exploration of the inner world.
Terry’s desire is simple yet powerful to move you - Heart, Mind and Feet.
David Rastrick | 7 PM
Living in the southwest corner of WA has inspired David Rastrick’s songwriting. A singer, trumpet player, and multi-instrumentalist, David has played with many bands. His broad experience contributes to the diversity of styles he writes in, spanning jazz, blues, soul, reggae, ska, global music, contemporary folk, rock, and more.
David’s songwriting themes are inspired by the environment and centered around the community.
Don’t miss this celebration of original music in the heart of the Great Southern.
Presented by Great Southern Sounds & Wilson’s Brewery
