I believe people are hungry for this. Not politely interested. Hungry.

🧱 WHY NOW

Look around at what was supposed to take care of us. Government keeps growing, keeps taking more, and keeps delivering less. Church, for a lot of people, stopped being a place to wrestle honestly with the hardest questions and became a place where doubt gets you quietly shown the door. And plenty of major corporations treat the people who built them, employees and customers both, as line items to optimize, not people to serve.

I'm not anti-business. I'm a free market purist, I think honest commerce is one of the most cooperative things humans do. What I'm against is corporatism that games the system instead of competing in it, institutions that trade belonging for obedience, and a state that's grown well past anything the people living under it actually consented to.

That's not a reason to check out. It's the reason to build something smaller, voluntary, and actually accountable to the people in the room.

🤝 WHAT THIS IS

The Agora is a weekly gathering built on one idea: free markets and free speech are the same muscle, exchange without coercion. Not a debate club. Not a church. Not a party meeting. A table where business, politics, religion, and philosophy are all fair game, where the buying power of the room saves members real money, where a job or a referral or a need actually gets met because the person sitting next to you can help, and where nobody has to agree with anyone to belong.

🗓️ HOW IT RUNS

Two hours, Sunday mornings, 8:00 to 10:00. Five moves, every week:

1️⃣ Welcome, house rules, and one principle above all: before you hire or buy outside this room, ask the room first

2️⃣ Member pitches, 60 seconds each, every week — your name, your business, one real need, and a shout-out to someone who's already helped you

3️⃣ A speaker who's actually there to challenge the room, 15-18 minutes, then open Q&A

4️⃣ Open networking, badges on

5️⃣ The close — real connections made, real needs, what's coming next, then a send-off

💰 WHAT I BELIEVE WILL ACTUALLY MOVE THE NEEDLE

These are my ideas, not finished products. Some will work exactly as I picture them, some won't, and I'd rather say that honestly now:

🛒 A grocery buying group that saves members 20% or more, built on real wholesale volume

🧾 The same 20% target on common business and personal services, insurance, software, supplies

💼 Real job placement, checked and acted on every week

🔗 Tracked referrals, so business sent from one member to another is visible and celebrated

🆘 A needs board that actually gets answered, childcare swaps, an honest mechanic, help moving

📰 Staying informed together, what's worth knowing, what's worth showing up for, on your own terms

If you tithe to a church or give to a charity, here's something worth sitting with: your dollar goes through an institution first, overhead, administration, a bureaucracy deciding who's worthy, before any of it reaches an actual person. In this room, when a member has a real need, you give directly to them. No middleman.

🙌 WHAT I NEED

I'm not doing this by myself, and I'm not interested in doing it by myself. I have the vision and the framework. What I need now is people who want to help build it, not just show up to it. Someone to run the clock. Someone to keep the needs and buying-power list alive between Sundays. Someone to help book speakers who'll actually make the room think. Someone with ideas I haven't had yet. If it serves the vision and serves people, it gets built, and you get the credit.

Nothing. No fee, no cover, no dues, ever. All we ask: buy a little food or drink from the host cafe, give this group an honest chance, and serve if you find it worthy.
