This event is part of the Tasmania Triathlon State Series Race 2 and State Sprint Aquathlon Championship, also Race 1 of the Aquathlon Series, a Triathlon South Club Points Race, Plus Race 1 Kids Series. The distances are Sprint and Short Course. Entries are also open to teams.
***Remember: At each of these races we also have award winning Pete McKenna’s Try a Tri TRYstars series for the younger athletes 7 to 12 years olds who love to Swim and Run. Racing starts for TRYstars at 9:00am and rego opens at 8.30am.

Where: Bellerive Beach off 3 Derwent Street, Bellerive, next to Blundstone Stadium
When:
Sunday 7th December 2025. Racing starts at 10:00am - Bellerive Beach
Saturday 27th December 2025. Racing starts at 9:00am - Kingston Beach
Friday 6th March 2026. Racing starts at 6:00pm - Kingston Beach
ONLINE entry only. Late Entries after 4pm on the day before the Race Day add $20 LATE FEE.
Event Distances
* Short Course Aquathlon: 300m swim | 2.5km run (age rules apply: 12yos can enter as a solo participant or in a team).
* Sprint Aquathlon: 1km swim | 5km run (age rules apply: 13yos can only compete as part of a team, 14yos can enter as a solo participant) – Juniors that race the sprint distance will be placed in the senior age category

Note: Age as at 31 st of December 2025 for this season for Male and Female:
Tas Triathlon Sate Serise and Championship: 12-13 years (SC race distance) (Youth Series), 14-15 years (Youth Series), 16-17 years, 18-19 years, 20-24 years, 25-29 years, 30-34 years, 35-39 years, 40-44 years, 45-49 years, 50-54 years, 55-59 years, 60-64 years, 65-69 years, 70-74 years, 75-79 years, 80+ years
Triathlon South Club Points:
* Youth (12-13) - Youth are only eligible for Club points in the Short Course
* Junior (14-19) - Juniors are only eligible for Club points in the Sprint
* Senior (20-39)
* Veteran (40-49)
* Super Veteran (50+)
The Race Day Information:
* Race start: (Sprint and Short Course) at 10am
* Registration and Transition: Opens at 9am and closes at 9:40am
* Race Brief: At 9:45am
* Presentations: On the Grass at 11.15am.
How much will it cost?
Entry fees are the same for Short Course and Sprint distances:
• Triathlon South members $40.00 (INCLUDES Member discount of $10)
• Triathlon Australia members: $50.00
• Non-Members of Triathlon Australia $60.00 (INCLUDES fee for One Day Licence)
• Teams $60.00
• Juniors receive a $20 discount on entry fee
Late Entries after 4pm before race day add $20 LATE FEE to the above. ONLINE entry only.
TEAMS: *Note team entry has changed! The first team member needs to register on the teams entry ticket and pay for the event. You must choose the team option. At registration we will have a waver form for all team members to sign and you will need to nominate your team name. On Race Day all team members will use the same race bib number and timing chip.
Prizes
Tas Triathlon will be presenting Medals for the State Aquathlon Championships (* Youth (12-13) in the Short Course & * Junior (14-19) - in the Sprint) for competitors that are Members of Triathlon Tasmania. Medals are presented for Male and Female in their respective age groups.
In addition to Tas Triathlon presentation spot prizes will be presented.
*This series will count towards the end-of-year Club Age Category winners and Triathlete of the Year.
This is a great race to wet your feet into racing and building up to a solo triathlon.
No matter what type or level of Triathlon you enjoy, or even if you have never completed a Triathlon, this race will have something for you.
