The Advanced Whisky Ambassador is the next level of The Whisky Ambassador – the original accredited Scotch Whisky training course established in 2012. This level dives deep into the technology and production, and discusses on how they influence the sensory profile of Scotch Whisky. The program would help participants to become a true expert and boost their confidence to talk about Scotland’s national drink.

In 3 days, our accredited educator will guide you through:
- Malting
- Milling
- Mashing
- Fermentation
- Malt & Grain Distillation
- Maturation
- Aroma
- Blending and Bottling

At the end of each day, there will be whisky experiences such as:
- Cheese / Chocolate & Whiskies Pairing
- Blending Your Own Whisky, using 4 different styles of whiskies
The program welcomes whisky trade professionals, bartenders and sommeliers, as well as whisky collectors and lovers.

What is included in the program:
- Whisky and Other Spirits: Technology, Production and Marketing by Graham Stewart, Julie Kellershohn & Inge Russell
- Tasting samples for whisky experiences
- Examination sit (one-time)
- Certificates & pins for those who pass the examination

Welcome offer:
In line with the program’s mantra of “Drink Less and Drink Better”, Eddie Nara, our accredited tutor, will offer each participant a bottle of carefully chosen whisky (valued: HK$800) for enjoyment after class

All applicants must be over 18+
Participants must have a general knowledge of Scotch whisky, including the production areas, whisky production, nosing and tasting techniques, which can be acquired from:
- The Whisky Ambassador (Level 1)
- WSET Level 2 Award in Spirits

Eddie Nara CSE
Eddie is a renowned spirits industry leader and Whisky & Gin Ambassador lead tutor for HK, Macau and China. He is Asia’s 1st Certified Spirits Educator accredited by the Society of Wine Educators, an International Spirits judge for IWSC and HKIWSC and an esteemed cocktail judge. Although known for his passion for all spirits, Eddie has a deep knowledge and understanding of both Scotch and world whiskies. Eddie’s commitment to education is invaluable to the industry and he is a mentor and inspiration to many aspiring bar professionals across Asia.
