About this Event
We invite you to be a part of this collaborative event hosted by RUH and Islamic Family, proudly sponsored by Humanit!
This evening discussion brings together voices from the Muslim community and mental health space to explore ADHD and neurodiversity through a culturally informed lens. Designed for community members, families, educators, and faith leaders, the session creates a safe and open space to learn, share, and connect around a topic that is often misunderstood or overlooked within Muslim spaces.
To raise awareness of ADHD and neurodiversity within the Muslim community by combining clinical knowledge, lived experience, and Islamic perspectives — breaking down stigma and building a more informed, compassionate community.
Attendees will leave with a greater understanding of ADHD and neurodiversity, feeling empowered to seek or offer support within their families and communities. The Muslim community will gain culturally relevant language and frameworks for discussing and supporting neurodivergent individuals with sensitivity and care. Participants will be connected to practical, accessible resources — including books, organisations, and online tools — to support them well beyond the event itself.
