Adam McLellan is a Halifax-based composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer whose solo productions have been released on forward-thinking labels and landed him an ECMA nomination.
In Halifax he leads the jazz fusion collective Sly-Fi, fusing jazz, funk and instrumental hip hop. Both of Sly-Fi’s EPs have been nominated for Music Nova Scotia’s jazz recording of the year.
He’ll be performing a selection of original compositions and reinterpretations of familiar tunes. Expect a soulful journey through melody, texture and rhythm. He’ll be joined by Ottawa musicians Greg Melchin (bass), and Lucas Denison (drums).
