About this Event
Scientists think that a mysterious dark energy is responsible for causing the Universe to expand at an ever faster rate. Learn how our observations have led a "standard" model of cosmology that describes the evolution of the universe from the BIG BANG to the Universe seen today. Bharat Ratra is the winner of the 2025 American Physical Society Lilienfeld Prize given for lecturing to diverse audiences.
