British Single Lift National Championships 2022.PLEASE NOTE: As per previous advisories, this event is now running on the 21 and 22 May, please see below.
THIS IS A WPC AND AWPC INTERNATIONAL SANCTIONED EVENT.
As this is the first Single lift nationals, the entries are open for everyone with membership to the BPU and ABPU.
A/BPU Single Lift British Nationals top 3 in each class secure a place to represent Great Britain at AWPC World Championships 2022 and WPC World Championships 2022
All Alan Collins Cup entries are automatically entered into the single lift nationals AND the BOMB SQUAD, the equipped bench only class which also allows unlimited category equipment in the form of band shirts and sling shots. Unlimited equipment is not accepted outside of the A/BPU in the UK under the WPC.

This is an international sanctioned event. This means NO WEIGH INS ON THE DAY - 24 HOUR WEIGH IN ONLY.
Friday for Saturday 24 hour weight in: 10 to 11am and 5-6pm
Saturday for Sunday 24 hour weigh in: 10 to 11am and 5-6pm.

WHAT IS THE SPLIT?
Saturday 21st May
ALL ABPU and BPU OPEN and MASTER RAW MEN (all weight classes, bench and deadlift )
Sunday 22nd May:
The Bomb Squad benchpress (IE all equipped benchpress both male and female and BPU and ABPU)
All equipped deadilft (male and female and all weight classes both BPU and ABPU)
All MALE TEENAGE AND JUNIOR RAW (all weight classes, BPU and ABPU, benchpress and deadlift)
ALL WOMEN RAW (all weight, age classes and BPU and ABPU, benchpress and deadlift)
ALL First Timers
PLEASE NOTE: AS PER OUR ADVISORIES HERE, ON THE ENTRY FORM, ON THE EVENT PAGE – Bodypower has been postponed and therefore we are moving to the following weekend, 21/22 May, which we advised everyone might be the case with the knock on effect of the pandemic.
Due to the size of our full power nationals, we have now started a new A/BPU Single Lift Nationals, with bench press and deadlift British stars AND with an international license to be able to take WPC and AWPC World and European records. The Alan Collins Cup Scheduled for earlier this year is now incorporated into this event and all of those entries will be entered here.
Single Lifters – THIS IS YOUR ONLY GATEWAY TO THE AWPC AND WPC WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2022!!!!! Top 3 get an invitation to represent Great Britain ONLY.
This is also your opportunity to qualify for European Championships 2022 in Hungary to represent GB as long as you hit the qualifying total (these are on the web site – DONT email asking what they are).
We also have the BOMB SQUAD – the FIRST competition in the UK to sanction unlimited bench shirts and also the place where ONLY equipped bench only specialists lift and push everything to the limit with the probability of a bomb out. This is the ONLY place in the UK you will see women benching over 250kg and men over 400kg!! ALL equipped bench only entries wil be put in the bomb squad and the overall winner on points – gender and age points included – wins the Bomb Squad sword.

Please remember – entries will close to all our qualifiers as soon as we are full automatically. This is all explained on this page and also in your membership agreement.
Is your membership up to date? Remember – you will need a current membership FOR THAT year you are competing AT WEIGH IN. Memberships take some time to come through and you must produce your membership PDF on the day of weigh or you cannot compete regardless of who you are. You cannot buy it on the day of competition. You will be told to leave.
For this year ONLY we are giving lifters a special offer. From the 1st October we will offer membership taken then to include 2022, you get and extra 3 months free, the membership expire on the 31st December 2022. If you are entering a competition after 1st October, then please enter your 2021 membership number. If you are new and want to take the October offer, then write “waiting” in the membership number box on the entry form and use the link below to update your 21/22 membership number as soon as you get it. Its very easy.
