It’s a very exciting year for Diabetes Training Camp! We are celebrating 20 YEARS of offering DTC’s life-changing programs to the T1D community. Help us celebrate on November 14th, WORLD DIABETES DAY — at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, for our annual COME EXPERIENCE THE MAGIC fundraising gala with musical guests, THE USUAL SUSPECTS! Proceeds benefit Diabetes Training Camp’s scholarship fund and help us add and enhance meaningful programs and services.

At this year’s gala we are proud to honor George and Patty Siganos as the Legacy Award recipients for their dedication, support and belief that people living with T1D can live a full and active life, and Brett DeNafo owner of Town Square Entertainment as the DTC Warrior Award for his resilience, strength and determination to live his best life with diabetes.

Diabetes Training Camp(DTC) held its first camp experience in 2006 and was established as a nonprofit (501C3 tax exempt organization) in 2015 with a mission to empower the diabetes community to thrive by delivering unique camps and programs grounded in fitness, exercise, sport and overall wellness. With the help of our amazing donors and sponsors, we are improving the lives of teens and adults living with T1D and empowering them to believe that anything is possible! Until there is a cure, there is Diabetes Training Camp!

Since the creation of DTC Foundation we have offered $650,000 in financial assistance and scholarships to help more people get to camp and join the supportive and unique DTC community. This year we launched a brand new Teen Boot Camp in Denver, CO and reached even more families dealing with the challenges of diabetes and sport. And, we launched a S. Jersey community event encouraging our friends and neighbors to get screened for T1D.

Generous contributions made at our annual COME EXPERIENCE THE MAGIC benefit and gala have helped us change the trajectory of people’s lives and help establish Diabetes Training Camp as the nonprofit leader and innovator in the area of fitness and exercise for the diabetes community.
