The 6th Annual Dam Bridge Challenge features 3 timed races & 1 recreational fun group paddle on the Susquehanna River at Lake Clarke starting and finishing near the Lock 2 Recreation Area.
The main event or "The Challenge" is a 10 mile race to either the Safe Harbor Dam or to the Veterans Memorial Bridge and back. The direction of the race is announced on race day! We also offer a 3 mile race and 1/4 mile kid's race. There are opportunities for paddlers of all ages and skill levels; and categories for kayaks, canoes, surfski and stand-up paddleboards (SUP).
We also offer a 1 mile fun paddle for folks who want to get out on the water without racing - you can go at your own pace or join a guided paddle led by LSRA Staff.
After the races, we'll be celebrating on the land with a live band, awards ceremony and more family fun! If you don't want to go out on the water, come cheer on the paddlers!
