Here are the details:
- The Message: The annual High Heal Diaries - ‘Walk A Mile In My Shoes’ event is to celebrate all women as we walk through our daily lives with strength, courage, and perseverance. The significance of wearing high heels as we walk is to show that even if we feel pain or uneasiness, or how much our circumstances may try to bring us down, we still keep walking with our heads held high only until WE decide it is time to stop. When that time does come for us to stop and remove those “high heels” - it’s not because we cannot bear the pain, but because we recognize that we must pay attention to our own personal limits, re-evaluate, then pick up and carry on. Carry on together, stronger and more cognizant of our physical and emotional well-being.
- The Walkers: Your $60 donation will support the High Heal Diaries cause to financially support women dealing with their current breast cancer diagnosis. All walkers will receive and wear a High Heal Diaries branded T-shirt and water bottle, in addition to a wonderful parting gift package.
- Non-Attendance Donation: If you cannot attend, but it is in your heart to still donate any amount, please reach out to Natalie via email at [email protected]. All donations, great or small, are greatly appreciated.
- The Venue/Event: Participants will enjoy a catered event in Ajax, and be able to take advantage of a fabulous massage by an RMT from Apex Health and Fitness (before or after the walk). There will be vendors, prizes, and other surprises :) We will then put on those high heels and walk a mile, showing YOUR strength, and in support of the strength of ALL women. Men, heels are optional ;)
- The Proceeds: Proceeds will go to High Heal Diaries’ cause to support women going through breast cancer treatment; providing financial assistance with groceries, utilities, children’s activities, medical expenses, transportation costs to treatment, care packages, or a day at the spa
