The 36th annual Sacramento Black History Month Expo is happening on February 24, 25, 2024 at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center downtown Sacramento in Exhibit Hall A from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. BLACK EXPO IS FREE and open to the public for everyone to explore this world of opportunities. Explore new opportunities for careers, business, health, families, while meeting over 100 exhibitors with information and resources to celebrate Black History in Sacramento.


The Expo also features the ever popular African American Marketplace for shopping for one of a kind items; fashion shows; a hair show; the Black Music Awards tribute to Tina Turner starring Lea Sweet; the Harlem Knights Fashion Show and Concert featuring the amazing MDP Band from Stockton ($10 donation to attend this fashion show/concert); a free concert starring the funk-master himself Eriq EQ and his band.


You have to take part in our free informative workshops and Power Panels on health, wealth, environment, social justice, technology and real estate that will bring insight and opportunities to speak with professionals and experts in a variety of professions;


The Sunday Gospel Showcase and Family Festival will raise the roof with a joyful noise! Also on Sunday attend the very popular Relationship Sessions hosted by the South Sacramento Christian Center; the Harlem Knights Fashion Show and Concert featuring the amazing MDP Band from Stockton ($10 donation to attend this fashion show/concert).


The spectacular Hair Showdown Battle that will star featured salons will be held on Saturday, and our Black History Month Legacy Awards Black-Tie Red Carpet Gala that will be held on Saturday February 24 honoring incredible leaders and the 60th Anniversary of the 1964 Civil Rights Act at the Royal Event Hall beginning at 6:30 pm. Plus there is more entertainment and family fun. Celebrate Black History Month at the Expo February 24 and 25 at the Sacramento Convention Center in Exhibit Hall A.
