Join us for Measuring What Matters: Lived Experience Led Outcomes, hosted by Wellways.

The mental health sector has long measured success through clinical and academic lenses but what happens when we centre the people who matter most? This year's Woodcock Lecture brings together consumer experts, policymakers, and lived experience advocates to explore how participant-directed outcome measures are transforming mental health service delivery. Don't miss this thought-provoking public lecture challenging us all to redefine what progress truly looks like.

Our 2026 speaker and panellists:

We're excited to announce that the 25th Woodcock Lecture keynote speaker is Associate Professor Nev Jones. Nev is a community-engaged mental health services researcher, with an interdisciplinary academic background in social and political philosophy, community psychology and medical anthropology.

Nev's keynote will explore practical examples of participant-directed outcome measures in action, examining how different services and programs have successfully implemented participant-led evaluation frameworks, and the impact this has had on service quality, participant satisfaction, and meaningful outcomes.

After, our panellists will join Nev to give their unique perspectives on this topic, and take questions from the audience - both in person and virtually. Please keep an eye on this page for full details of the panel, available soon.
