The 24 Hour Plays: Memphis is back for a third year! On June 29, 2024, Memphis theatre company LoneTree Live will bring together 6 writers, 6 directors and 24 actors from the local creative community to produce 6 short plays that are written and rehearsed in 24 hours. This ultimate, creative challenge is set to be presented for one night only!
Musician and composer Eileen Kuo will perform for the crowd before the show and between the plays. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Come early and buy a beer, wine or soda at the bar and we'll have fresh popcorn and cotton candy available just for you! The audience is invited to join the artists for an informal gathering after the show in the theater space.
This production is based on a long-running format that has been produced around the world since 1995 and is called The 24 Hour Plays: https://24hourplays.com. We are glad to partner with them and present under a license our own local production to amplify the creative voices of our city.
Tickets are just $15 and available online or at the door at TheatreWorks at the Evergreen, 1705 Poplar, Memphis.
