The Carlton R. Smith Icon Awards celebrates Black LGBTQIA+ leadership and excellence in Baltimore City. The awards were recently renamed to honor our late co-founder, Carlton R. Smith, who transitioned to the ancestor realm earlier this year. The Icon Awards is one of the longest-standing traditions to celebrate Black LGBTQIA+ Pride Month in Baltimore. Join us for an evening of honoring our local Black LGBTQIA+ Icons, dinner, drinks, music, silent auction and performances! Dinner will be provided. A cash bar will be available for guests over 21.
This is a "pay what you can" event. Because we want as many community members to participate as possible, there is no set ticket price. However, we would appreciate any amount you can offer, which will contribute to our programs and events at Baltimore BLAQ Pride and Blaq Equity Baltimore. There will also be opportunities to submit donations at the event.
