The 2025 Blue Economy Summit

Join us for the Ocean Collective's Blue Economy R&D Summit! This event will bring together industry representatives, policymakers, and academic researchers to brainstorm new collaborative R&D projects for our region’s blue economy. Panel discussions with diverse experts will focus on fisheries policy, aquaculture, coastal restoration, blue technology and workforce development. Participation by all attendees will be encouraged in the Q&A sessions, the chance to share a brief comment or 'flash talk', and a happy hour networking session with informational tables from local organizations and labs. Food and drinks will be provided.

A donation of $1 or more is required to secure a ticket to the event. Proceeds go to Commercial Fishermen of Santa Barbara to support the Ocean Collective. For those who'd like it, reimbursements for the ticket and parking can be provided at the event.
