DJs, drag queens, and magic - oh my! Come click your heels, 'cuz there's no place like home.

Join us on July 19 at The 1924 - a Science Speakeasy popup series - for a lively evening of cocktails, conversation, and discovery. Known as America’s Home for Science, the National Academy of Science's beautiful building is as spiffy today as it was 100 years ago when it first opened its doors.

We invite all you bootleggers and flappers to don your glad rags and celebrate this special centennial anniversary. Our guest for the evening will be Neda Atanasoski, chair of the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies program at the University of Maryland.

Sip on a B Street Buzz as Neda takes us on an evolutionary tour of our relationship with our homes, which continues to be influenced by technology, politics, and shifts in gender roles.

Tickets are limited! We sold out very quickly last time! Bonus points for stepping back in time and making a bold fashion statement.
