The 18th Annual Northwest Teaching for Social Justice (NWTSJ) Conference aims to connect, inspire, engage, and empower social justice educators in the Pacific Northwest. This one-day event at Parkrose High School in Portland will feature a morning keynote address by Walidah Imarisha, writer, educator, and director of the Center for Black Studies at Portland State University, two 90-minute workshop sessions, and a closing keynote by Jesse Hagopian, Seattle based author, activist, and educator.
