Since 2009, the Ball Homes Night of Hope has served as a motivating and enjoyable event dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the efforts of the Hope Center. All funds raised during the evening directly support the Hope Center's mission to combat homelessness, substance abuse, and mental health issues. The event includes inspiring music, video highlights from Hope Center clients, and a powerful, engaging speech from our keynote speaker. We are excited to announce this year's speaker, Nic Sheff.
Nic Sheff’s powerful and moving story of overcoming substance abuse is brought to life in "Beautiful Boy," a major film starring Timothée Chalamet as Nic and Steve Carell as his father, David. The film, which earned Golden Globe and SAG nominations for Chalamet, is based on Nic’s New York Times bestselling memoir, *Tweak: Growing Up on Methamphetamines*, as well as David’s acclaimed book of the same title. The movie delivers a candid and emotional portrayal of addiction and recovery, intertwined with mental illness, and Nic has earned recognition as a “life-changing speaker” for his profound and impactful presentations. His talks bring a personal perspective to the substance abuse crisis, providing hope and motivating those in need to seek support.
Attendees will receive a virtual General Admission ticket via email the week prior to the event that they my print or have ready on their phone to present at the door. Seating will be first-come, first-serve on the night of the event on Levels 1 and 2 of the Lexington Opera House.
