The 12th National Undergraduate Conference of Emergency Medicine - GUEMS

Glasgow University Emergency Medicine Society are hosting our 12th annual National Undergraduate Conference of Emergency Medicine on Saturday 21st January. The conference is open to all healthcare students with an interest in Emergency Medicine, including medical students, nursing students, paramedic students, and all other allied health professionals.

The morning will consist of four exciting talks around varied themes in Emergency Medicine, including major trauma, and military medicine! A full speaker list will be posted to our Facebook event page in due course.

Students who attend will have the opportunity to submit abstracts for consideration to enter our lunchtime poster presentation, where you will be in with a prize in our poster competition, judged by an Emergency Medicine Consultant.

In the afternoon, students will rotate through four stations - two clinical skills stations and two simulations, where you will have a chance to practice assessing and treating an acutely unwell patient! Groups will be balanced to have a mix of experience levels, so don't be put off if you're a junior years student!

Afternoon session: Wolfson Medical School Building - Clinical Skills Suite

Note: we will not be providing lunch on the day, but the JMS has several food venues and nearby Byres Road is packed with cafes and shops.
