The Himalayan Club invites you for a stimulating Summer Adventure at Solang, with a wide variety of activities while interacting with the Himalayan Club community in the scenic environs of Hotel Iceland, Solang from 2nd July 2023 to 9th July 2023Participants can join one of the following activities, depending on their interests:
• Trek to Bhrigu Lake
• Drive to Shinku La
In addition, the following programmes would also be organized
• BANFF Mountain Film Festival/ Himalayan exploration slide show (time and venue permitting)
• Workshop on Safety issues, rescues and sustainable practices in the Mountains.
• Community members’ Gala Dinner
Tentative Itinerary
02 Jul -Arrive at Manali/Solang (8500 ft). Today you will rest or walk around gently by the Riverside or in and around the valley to better acclimatise yourself. Rest.
03 Jul -Morning acclimatization walk to Anjani Mahadev. This is a short walk to the nearby temple to help you acclimatise. If members are well acclimatized then you will go for a short hike to a waterfall on the way to Patalsu.
Evening Banff Film Festival screening / Himalayan exploration slide show by Club Vice President Divyesh Muni.
04 -07Jul onwards, there are different options
OPTION I : BHRIGU LAKE TREK
04 Jul: Solang to Gulaba. Easy trek to Camp 1.Camp at Gulaba (Jonkar thach )(1.5 kms 1.30 hrs)(10,285 ft)
05 Jul Trek from Gulaba to Raulikholi.(5kms 3-4 hrs)(12,590ft) Steep climb to camp.
06 Jul Raulikholi to Bhrigu lake and back to camp side Raulikholi (10kms 12590-14000-12590ft)(7-8hrs).This is a hard days trek
07 Jul Raulikholi to Palchan. The trek passes nearby the Vashisht hot water spring and then trek to Solang.
OPTION II
04 Jul Drive to Shinku La ( 16000 ft) and back ( Solang-Jispa-Darcha-Solang) OR relax beside the Beas river near your hotel or go for a sight seeing tour around Manali ( At cost)
05 Jul Drive to Dhundi camp and explore the area on your own. A guide will accompany the group. (Optional - at cost- weather permitting)
06 Jul Today you can relax around the hotel or go for a drive to Sissu through the Atal Tunnel. Overnight in Solang Hotel.
07 Jul Drive to Vashisht hot water baths and meet up with the trekking group as they complete their trek and gather at the Vashisht hot water springs.
Overnight stay in hotel (1 hr drive to hotel) from Vashisht
08 Jul – Free day in Solang.
Evening : The Himalayan Club Workshop on Safety issues, rescues and sustainable practices in the Mountains.
Members nite Gala Dinner
09 Jul – Departure after breakfast.
Total cost ( Ex Manali/Solang)
For Himalayan Club Members : Rs 18,000/- ( All inclusive*) + 5% GST extra
For Others: Rs.20,000/- (All inclusive* ) + 5% GST extra
* For options of sight seeing and Sinkola Pass it will be at cost depending on the number of people who opt for it.
Inclusions :
● Accommodation as per above Itinerary.
● All meals during the trek. Breakfast and Lunch during stay at Solang.
● Forest fee, Entry & Permissions
Exclusions :
● Any Rly/Bus fare or Insurance or GST (5%)
● Any Kind of Personal Expenses or Optional Tours /Extra Meals Ordered
● Anything not specifically mentioned under the head “Prices included”.
● ● Any changes you may choose to make during your tour.
● Additional costs due to cancellations, road blocks etc
