P&T Knitwear is pleased to present That's Poetic! — a hybrid comedy/poetry show produced by ! Join host Shea Vassar for an evening of live comedy and readings, with jokes from each set used as inspiration for new poems that are written on the spot and read out loud between each performer!

This month's lineup features Saidah Belo-Osage, Brit Miggs, Edson Montenegro, Akshay Sampath, and Shea Vassar.

• This is a ticketed in-store event with limited amphitheater-style seating.
• $5 of the ticket price can be applied towards your purchase of any product in our bookstore or café the night of the event.

ABOUT THE HOST

is a writer and comedian currently based between Brooklyn and Oklahoma. She dabbles in various creative mediums which utilize existentialism to look at Indigenous diaspora, connection to land, generational trauma, and the irony of being alive.

Howdy Cat Comedy is Shea’s comedy production company. Her ‘That’s Poetic!’ show, which Timeout NY calls “the lovechild you didn’t know you needed” due to its mix of jokes and poetry, is in residency at Friends & Lovers in Crown Heights through August 2024.

Most importantly, Shea is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation who loves her tuxedo cat, Orpheus.
