That's Debatable: Using Your Voice to Ignite Change

Participants in this session will get a taste of how Boston's Debate League (BDL) debaters learn to construct a compelling argument and get a chance to practice this skill during the session. Attendees will walk away from this activity with an understanding of debate and argumentation skills and how they can utilize them in their professional and personal lives – whether it's making a case for why they're the right person for a job or addressing issues in their communities. Attendees will also learn how they can support and impact young people of color in the city of Boston by volunteering to judge debate tournaments with the BDL.
