About this Event
Pati Kachel, a professional traveling storyteller, has studied and presented the stories of many remarkable women in history. While doing research in anticipation of the 2025 bicentennial of the first Norwegian immigrants coming to America, she discovered stories from her own family’s history.
These discoveries led to the presentation, THAT MY CHILDREN MAY KNOW. Pati portrays her paternal great-grandmother, Ane Marie Anderson, telling her true-life story in the first-person narrative voice. The setting is the year 1915, when Ane was then 54 years old. Pati brings Ane Marie to life through an authentic portrayal, costume, and historically accurate stage props as she invites you to step back in time with her.
Pati hopes that her great-grandmother’s story will help bring an appreciation of the listeners' immigrant ancestors and inspire people to learn their own family’s stories.
All of Pati’s storytelling performances are produced by the Christian educational nonprofit called The Parable Fund. Their mission is to educate, encourage, enrich, and entertain listening audiences through excellent faith-based storytelling.
Please note: At the end of the performance, the audience is asked to make a donation in the amount they wish. This donation will go to The Parable Fund.
Thank you for RSVPing by reserving a ticket.
