That Loathsome Devil, Kings and Queens of Mulberry Street, Redhead Darling
About this Event
That Loathsome Devil is a singer-songwriter based out of Portland, OR conjuring the sounds of Gothic Americana, Folk, and New Orleans style street music, to create haunting and captivating tunes riddled with themes of doom and gloom. Drawing from such influences as C.W. Stoneking, Andrew Bird, Big Bill Broonzy and Tom Waits, That Loathsome Devil curates a sound that pays homage to his predecessors while adding his own twist and flavor to these established genres. With a ragged, soulful voice and stripped down approach, That Loathsome Devil leaves audiences moved and pining for more.
Kings and Queens of Mulberry Street represents a pack of scoundrels, who collided by chance on the streets of Portland. They will make you laugh, cry, dance, and sing. Kings & Queens of Mulberry St, known as KQMS by fans, is a pop-rock band with soaring electric guitar, epic vocals, groovy basslines, and drums that hit.
Featuring the voice of Alethea, a world traveler and prodigious songwriter; guitarist Mike Erbe, known in Portland for his playing with Brown & Erbe; bassist Tim Taylor, who solos on the bass like it’s a guitar; and drummer Max Kriegel, maybe the funniest, most authentic lad you’ll ever meet.
Alt-Country/Western-Gothic/Americana-Folk Punk band Redhead Darling delivers an eclectic mix of original and cover songs exploring the depth of human depravity with songs of Sinnin’, Drinkin’, Gamblin’, Lyin’, Cheatin’, Lyin’ about Cheatin’, and all manner of bad behavior.
