Celebrate a cruelty-free Thanksgiving season with us at Animal Haven of Asheville! We’re hosting a community vegan potluck and welcoming special guest Gene Baur, founder of Farm Sanctuary and hailed as Time Magazine’s “Conscience of the Food Movement.”- Hear Gene share powerful stories from decades of animal rescue, undercover investigations, and food system reform.
- Enjoy a buffet-style vegan feast with fellow animal advocates.
- Spend time with our rescued farm animals...goats, pigs, chickens, cows, geese, and sheep.
What to Bring:
- A vegan* dish to serve 8–10 (with serving utensil + allergen/ingredient note) (*No animal products...so no meat, dairy, eggs, honey, gelatin, whey, conventional mayo, or Worcestershire sauce.)
- Your own plate and utensils to reduce waste
- Rain gear and warm clothing -- event is rain or shine
- Unbleached pumpkins, cantaloupe, honeydew, or apples as animal treats
