Thanksgiving Pumpkin in Petrykivka Style Workshop with Olena Chorna

The Shevchenko Museum invites you to a Thanksgiving Pumpkin in Petrykivka Style Workshop conducted by professional artist and educator, Olena Chorna. This fun and creative session is a perfect way to celebrate the season, explore the vibrant Petrykivka art style, and transform a craft pumpkin into a beautiful piece of artwork.

In the guided, 3-hour session, you will learn the traditional Ukrainian folk art of Petrykivka painting, first by practising the special delicate brushstrokes on paper, practicing with your chosen color palette and then transfering of your unique design onto the craft decorative pumpkin. The workshop is designed for all skill levels and promises a festive, hands-on experience full of color and creativity.

Tickets: $60 + $15 materials (craft decorative pumpkin in your choice of bright orange, cream white, or sleek black, paint, brushes...)
