Coaltrains’ is super delighted to see the return of CANNA!
CANNA is a South Wales-based folk band exploring Welsh traditional music through jazz, classical and global influences. Drawing on the talents of some of Wales’ most exciting young musicians, CANNA creates a unique, modern sound that combines driving rhythms with Welsh-language songs. Their repertoire includes original compositions, reworked traditional material and fresh interpretations.
The full band is a five-piece comprising two fiddles, piano or harp, double bass, drums and vocals. Their debut EP will be released in summer 2026.
Free entry though donations to the musicians involved is essential in keeping our live events going.
