As you know usually we do Rebetika evenings in the weekends. But this time we have something very different for you. We will have Mr. Kleopas performing on his historical Apollo Lyra. His music is inspired by more than 2000 years oude partituren and musical history.
Everyone is more than welcome to join us for this special musical event on Tuesday the 17th of March at Dionysos, at Overtoom 176 in Amsterdam

About the artist:
Kleopas is a Greek musician who plays the Ancient Greek lyre of Apollo, sings composes music and has given performances in many parts of the world such as in China at the Beijing Cultural forum as an ambassador of Greek music,in America at the Texas Eclipse Festival and in Sicily at a Dolce Banana show.
Together with Stefanos Kleopas on Piano who studies Jazz on the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam, they present a musical performance entitled ''a space-time journey into Greek music'' from antiquity to the present day and from Crete to Epirus ''.
The performance begins with the oldest written song of the world, the epitaph of Seikilos, and passing through different regions of Greece, adapting traditional songs, they arrive at the present day where they present their own compositions.
