Belcarra Bistro & Caffe | Chiang Mai, CM
Every November, rivers and skies across Thailand sparkle with candlelight, music, and laughter. But behind the beauty of Loy Krathong, there are countless stories waiting to be told.
🙏 Do you know why Thai people float their little lotus-shaped baskets on the water?
🙏 Who was Nang Noppamas?
🙏 Why do some people include a lock of hair or a clipping of nails when they float theirs?
🙏 And why does the North light up the sky with lanterns, while Tak province celebrates with shimmering chains of floating krathongs called Krathong Sai?
Join us for a relaxed and friendly evening where we’ll dive into the myths, meanings, and regional variations of this enchanting Thai festival 💞
We’ll talk about the symbolism of water and light, the idea of letting go, and how the celebration connects people, nature, and gratitude.
🗓️ Date: Thursday 6th November 2025 | 15.30 - 17.00
📍 Venue: Belcarra Bistro & Caffe, a cozy café near CMU — warm, open, and welcoming. Come as you are, grab a coffee, and enjoy the evening.
