You are invited to an in-person round table discussion hosted by Manchester Fashion Institute in collaboration with the UNECE Team.
About this Event

About this event

Following two years of intensive research and development, comprising over 250 industry experts from 52 countries, the UNECE has created a Textiles Transparency Toolbox. This project aims to provide an opportunity for industry stakeholders to explore the technologies and tools they need to advance progress towards more transparent supply chains including access to an affordable blockchain enabled platform.

This one-day forum with expert presenters, outreach workshop and industry roundtable is the first in a series of events that aims to drive action on sustainability through transparency and advance progress towards circular economy approaches on a national, regional and global scale. Attendees will learn how they can apply the UNECE digital toolbox in a real-world context, in their own firms, particularly in the light of extended user responsibility legislation.

Pioneers and experts from the UNECE Team will be presenting the Toolbox and discussing opportunities for brands to take part in pilot blockchain studies. This will be followed by a roundtable discussion for fashion brands regarding the challenges and opportunities of their current transparency actions.

The team at Manchester Fashion Institute hosting this free event, look forward to welcoming participants for in-person talks, discussions, refreshments and networking at the fabulous Kimpton Hotel Wintergarden on Friday 11th March, 2022.

If you are unable to attend the in-person event, we will also be presenting the sessions online. You can register for a ticket for either in-person or online attendance above, places are limited so act fast to avoid disappointment.

If you are interested in joining the industry round table, Friday 11 March, 1-3pm please email [email protected]
