Come experience the essential skills required for survival on the Texas frontier during the early 19th century at the Alamo's upcoming living history event, Texas Trades.This event will transport visitors back in time to witness how the early Texans used trades such as blacksmithing, leatherworking, woodworking, and weaving. Although these skills may seem old-fashioned today, they were vital to frontier survival. Visitors will also enjoy the lighter side of frontier life through live music on stage at the pavilion in Plaza de Valero, the Alamo's newest public space in front of the historic Menger Hotel, beginning at 10 a.m.
