Join the SSS East Texas Community for dinner and a Halloween cruise to historic Old Stagecoach Road!
We’ll meet for dinner at Chick-fil-A in Marshall at 7:00 PM. After dinner, we’ll convoy out together for a cruise to Old Stagecoach Road.
Old Stagecoach Road outside Marshall, Texas, is a historic sunken dirt road dating back to the early 1800s. It once served as a major pre-Civil War route connecting Marshall, Texas, to Shreveport, Louisiana. Years of wagon, horse, and weather traffic carved the road deep below the surrounding forest floor, creating the narrow, dramatic road it is known for today.
And since this is Halloween night, yes, we are leaning into the spooky side a little.
Local stories call Old Stagecoach Road one of the most haunted roads in Texas, with legends of ghostly wagon sounds, strange fog, glowing orbs, Civil War soldiers, and a lady in white. Believe it or don’t, but either way, it makes for a fun Halloween cruise.
Important cruise note:
This is a group cruise after dinner. Please arrive with enough fuel, drive responsibly, stay with the group, and follow all posted road rules.
Who can attend:
This is a family-friendly SSS meetup and cruise. Guests, spouses, partners, kids, and Sisters’ Misters are welcome.
Weather / backup plan:
If it is too rainy or road conditions are not safe, the event will be canceled. Updates will be posted in the event page.
