As-Salāmu ʿAlaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh,

Nueces Mosque and the Texas Muslim Students' Association are excited to be hosting the 14th annual Texas Deen Intensive conference at The University of Texas at Austin on February 18th - 20th, 2022.

The 2022 Texas Deen Intensive Steering Committee is proud to present:The Muslim Roadmap: Navigating Life Through Revelation
"As long as you hold fast to two things which I have left among you, you will not go astray: The Book of Allah and Sunnah of His Messenger.” (Al Muwatta Imam Malik, Book 46, Hadīth 1628)

As Muslims, we strive on the path to paradise, looking to the Qur’an and Sunnah to guide us. Our deen encourages us to become the best versions of ourselves, so we hasten to worship Allah (SWT) and follow His command. At times, we may feel overwhelmed by the distractions of this Dunya (material world); yet, we persist with patience and look forward to the moment in which we enter the gates of Paradise. After all, Allah (SWT) does say, “Verily With Every Hardship Comes Ease.” (Qur’an 94:5)

It is inevitable that perfecting ourselves in our faith will be difficult, but the struggle is what is admired. Allah (SWT) did not leave us to navigate our lives blindly, but He blessed us with beautiful sources of guidance. The Qur’an captivates our hearts by relaying the words of Allah (SWT) and becomes a light that guides us to the straight path. The Sunnah of the Prophet (SAW) is a living interpretation of the Qur’an that teaches us how to implement the commandments of Allah (SWT). Together as revelation they provide an outline for how we should live a life that is pleasing to Allah (SWT).

Thus, we have The Muslim Roadmap. The strength and unity of the Qur’an and Sunnah gives us direction in practicing our faith. Join us at Texas Deen Intensive to learn how we can navigate our life using Revelation to protect our Deen and strengthen our connection with Allah (SWT). Insha’Allah, we will be able to apply what we learn this weekend to lead a lifestyle that can inspire others. Ameen.
