Please join us for our annual Friends of Teen Canteen reunion and concert. This year we are spotlighting 1964 - the year the Beatles started the British invasion of the U.S. and inspired many of our favorite local bands. The bands will each do a tribute to a group popular in 1964: Cain's Children will be playing The Animals' songs, The Cave Dwellers are doing some Kinks' tunes while Jeff Smith's Hickoids will play as The CS Blues band channeling the Rolling Stones - and, of course, Pete's Best will be The Beatles. This is going to be fun! You will hear some great music, enjoy food and the atmosphere at a classic Texas dance hall plus visit with long-time friends. This event is a fund raiser for Tex Pop, your music museum, which preserves and celebrates local music history - all genres. We're a 501c3 nonprofit; a $20 donation per person is requested. Tickets available at the door on the day of the event. Anyone who enjoys 60s music is invited!
