A special edition of the Tetsujin Kumite, the Iron Gauntlet Challenge kicks off with our traditional Tetsujin Kumite by weight. Once all have fought, all divisions will be combined for a single Open Weight Division for Sensei Justin Hagen's 25 Man Kumite set.
-Must be ages 18+
-Full Knockdown Only (No Semi Knockdown Divisions)
-Must be at an INTERMEDIATE or ADVANCED fighting level (No one under 7th Kyu)
-Modified Kyokushin/Knock Down Fighting rules with No Head Contact
-Online Registration ONLY due before October 11th
PRELIM EVENT: TRADITIONAL IRON MAN
Two FULL KNOCKDOWN divisions will be made: Under 200lb Division & Over 200lb Division
-LIMITED to 6 people per division.
In order to show the full spirit of Karate to the world, we will put together 6 fighters per division in a smaller scale version of Mas Oyama's 100 Man Kumite. 1 fighter will go in the center to fight each of the other 5 competitors in 1 on 1 back to back 1 minute rounds. After the fighter has finished their 5 rounds, they will rejoin the other fighters to give the next fighter their turn to be in the center to fight all competitors in the division in back to back rounds in the same fashion. This will continue until ALL COMPETITORS have had a turn to be the "Iron Man" in the center.
The event will kick off with the Under 200lb Division showcasing 5 Man Tetsujin Kumite sets until all compeitors have had chance to fight as the 'Iron Man.'
This will be followed by the Over 200lb Division doing the same.
*Female Division as well as a Minor Showcases are available by request if enough sign ups permit to act as a transition half time show.

MAIN EVENT: SENSEI JUSTIN HAGEN'S 25 MAN KUMITE SET
Following the Iron Man sets, the divisions will be combined into a single Open Weight Division where a single competitor, Sensei Justin Hagen, will fight all competitors in a back to back round Iron Man Gauntlet 2x with a bonus fight in an attempt to complete 25 rounds.
INTENSITY & ETIQUETTE:
While it is Full Contact, we are however trying to make a FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT, and while we encourage competitors to fight hard and push their opponent, we ask fighters to keep in mind we want fighters to be able to continue fighting even after their turn so that everyone will have a chance to fight everyone without anyone being taken out due to injuries. Therefore we ask fighters to not intentionally injure or maliciously attack each other and to go at approximately 90-95%.
All competitors will receive a certificate if they complete the challenge
DISCLAIMER:
If Sensei Justin Hagen is deemed medically unfit due to injury etc. prior to the event, the event will be held as planned, however all divisions will be combined into Open Weight and the event will become the Tetsujin Kumite 6
