About this Event
Discover the expressive possibilities of Tetra Pak Intaglio Printmaking in this expanded 2.5-hour workshop led by local printmaker Liz Ortiz of Mad Hare Press. Hosted at Wolverine Farm Publick House, this hands-on class invites participants to work at a larger scale while exploring texture, mark making, and intaglio printing using upcycled materials.
In this workshop, participants will:
- Prepare a larger Tetra Pak plate for intaglio printing (approximately 6 x 9 inches)
- Explore mark making, texture, and inking techniques to build depth and contrast
- Learn wiping, pressure control, and basic registration methods
- Print on paper sized up to 9 x 12 inches using a professional press
- Leave with a small series of finished prints on archival paper

- Minimum Age: Suggested minimum age is 12 years.
- Minors: Participants ages 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who must remain present for the duration of the workshop and sign a liability waiver.
- Allergen Warning: Some materials may cause possible skin irritation or allergic reactions. Gloves will be available.

Liz Ortiz is the founder of Mad Hare Press and a Fort Collins-based printmaker with a BFA in Photo Image Making and Printmaking. Her workshops emphasize accessible printmaking practices while encouraging experimentation, curiosity, and confidence at the press.

• If you cannot attend, you may transfer your ticket to a future workshop of equal value provided you notify us no later than 48 hours before the scheduled start time.
