DETAILS: To make the most of our day, we will have a moderately early start. We will be leaving from a very old Motafrenz meeting point near the Zoo. This location was chosen for its centrality to the M1, M2 and M3.
Tesslaar has well over a million spring flowering bulbs on show throughout the festival. They have much live entertainment on stage for you to enjoy, including music and performances. You can wander around the gardens, indulge in traditional Dutch foods and other treats. There is more than a touch of Dutch, you could visit the Clog Shop and try some on, see the biggest clog in the world (and climb in for a photo). You can find treasures at the souvenir and market stalls. See beautiful garden displays, take a Tulip Tractor ride, see farm displays, visit the Fairy Garden, complete a treasure hunt and so much more.
WHEN: Saturday 16 September 2023
MEET: Royal Park Train Station carpark, Poplar Street Parkville - or via train on the Upfield line
TIME: 8:45am for 9:00am departure
BRING: Weather appropriate clothing and a sense of fun (“Tulips are better that one”)
SUITS: All vehicle types.
PETS: Pets are welcome and encouraged by Festival organisers.
COST: Entry to the festival is $30/person + whatever you wish to spend.
