CALLING ALL CRYPTOZOOLOGISTS!Join Alternative Ulstours' 'Master of the Macabre' Andrew Johnston for an illustrated Terror Talk on Ireland's 'cryptids' - animals disputed or unverified by mainstream science.
Andrew will hit the trail of legendary beasts including Muirdris, Muckie and the dreaded Dobhar-chú, as well as investigating strange encounters with ape-men, horse-men and phantom cats.
Elsewhere, cast back to the Victorians' fevered obsession with 'sea serpents', and confront the notion that dire wolves may inhabit the modern Irish countryside - beyond the set of Game of Thrones!
The talk will invoke Ireland's traditional beliefs and folklore, and offer alternative scientific explanations, remembering the island's extinct fauna.
