About this Event
Not too many years ago, this natural landscape nearly succumbed to an ill-conceived sprawl development named Marincello. But long before that, the valley was known as Elk Valley and the beach at the end of the trail was called Indian Cove. Then came that fateful day in 1853. There lies the tale of the wreck of the SS Tennessee, her fool-hardy captain, half-crazed ship's doctor, chest of gold, and the missing "keyhole" in the cliff!
Greenbelt Alliance educates, advocates, and collaborates to fight sprawl development and protect open spaces throughout the Bay Area. We are partnering with Solano Together to oppose the sprawl California Forever proposal. Read about our work .
