WE’RE BACK! The legendary Tennent’s Laughter Lounge comedy nights are returning to Byres Road on Monday 12th January! We’re rested, refreshed and ready to start 2026 the right way with a talent-packed line-up featuring some of the best up-and-coming comedians the world’s funniest city has to offer, hosted by our resident compere Paddy Linton. And with free entry and drink deals for as little as £3.50, there’s no better value entertainment in Glasgow!
Your host for the evening is Tennent’s Laughter Lounge resident compere Paddy Linton. Paddy mixes storytelling from his working class upbringing with observations about Glasgow’s leafier suburbs. His impressive stand-up skills have fast become highly in demand at some of the best comedy shows in the country. In March 2025 he was chosen to open for Darren Connell at Glasgow’s legendary King’s Theatre. He’s also been support act of choice for Mark Black and Gary Faulds.

Just want to watch? All are welcome free of charge, but please respect the show: during performances please be seated and don’t talk or heckle.
Interested in performing? Sign-up for each show opens from Tuesday the week before, message our FB page and 5 minute slots will be allocated on a mainly first come, first serve basis. Attempts to sign-up at the wrong time or via the wrong channels will be ignored.
Doors to the bar open at 5pm, doors to the comedy room downstairs open at 7pm.
