Tending the Grieving Heart

The holidays can be a time of connection and joy, but they can also be a time of grief for those who are missing loved ones. Tending the Grieving Heart is a grief workshop presented by BELOVED Compassion Network and the Center for Engaged Compassion, designed to support and empower you to see a way through the pain and grief to a place of new meaning.

This is a hybrid event with in-person participation at Pacific Beach Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 1074 Loring Street, San Diego, CA 92109, and online participation via Zoom.

Our workshop facilitator is the Rev. Dr. Nancy Fowler. Dr. Fowler will use principles and practices of compassion to discover and tend to those internal parts of ourselves that are hurting. Through authentic self-compassion, participants will find calming and even healing of those internal wounds. Each person has their own unique journey through grief, but these principles can be helpful to anyone willing and ready to acknowledge the pain of loss.
